Seen several articles regarding this news and overall, good news at least for Delta and the workers at that refinery.

Since 40% of their costs is fuel, good move.

Good for the workers, however, I wonder how this will affect regional gasoline prices.

I hope this works out for Delta. If it does, I expect other airlines to do the same or maybe work jointly to do it.

That's a pretty good marriage. Airlines and oil refineries, since the refinery is a steady profit maker, which can help support struggling airlines. Also, it makes them more vertically oriented company, in that they can produce the fuel which is one of their major cost factors.
Question is, will they sell to airports or airlines? Will they give themselves a better price than to other airlines?

If man made global climate change exists its the airplanes that do it by injecting exhaust into the stratosphere.

My tax money at work subsidizing the airlines to produce fuel for an airline I will never fly on. Thanks a lot. Why can't they just require businesses to be self reliant instead of feeding them all of the time. They have to keep 405 workers for the next 5 years. That comes down to $14,814 per year that each worker is getting from the taxpayers of Pennsylvania.

If Conoco Phillips could not operate the refinery profitably, what makes Delta think it can?
