I have started a new career recently and have to wait 1 year for paid vacation. My wife and I are looking to do an overnight trip during the week to Mystic, CT. Any suggestions on what to do? Where to eat?

I don't gamble either, but the casinos have other attractions. Its more like going to a big high energy shopping mall. They are family friendly. The live shows are pretty good. The buffets alone are unbelievable, many people go just for the buffets.

We are not big time gamblers, we are driving up, save some money. We also want to drive through CT and stop for breakfast.

From Mystic, its only a short ride up to Foxwoods and Mohegan. Big flashy casinos, Great buffets. Live shows. People watching. Just walking around. Classy setup for the most part. You could also go into Westerly/Watch Hill RI - old monied beach resorts.

Are you taking the ferry to New London?
