My 2007 Toyota Sienna has been twice:

(1) faulty rubber oil hose which could deteriorate and
(2) spare tire holder for cars sold/registered in in cold-weather states which could rust and drop the tire on the ground.

I think pretty much every car I have purchased has had at least one recall. No big deal, as long as its taken care of.

All of our Toyotas as well as my BMW have been recalled at some point.

I would now feel nervous about no recall notices as I'd be waiting for the shoe to fall.

Not my new 2011 Toyota Corolla S model, and it has been one of the best cars that I have ever owned. The more I drive it the more I love it.

Yes, once. It was to disconnect the heater for the windshield washer fluid in exchange for $100 in my pocket. Not a big deal as never used the heater anyway.

I think I'll keep supporting America's car companys(Ford is my choice) after reading the news lately on asian car companys:

Keeping Up todate, This not available at time of last CR printing:

Honda Recalls CR-V to Fix Control-Arm Problem :

By Jake Lingeman
By AutoWeek Fri 8:30 AM

Honda is recalling CR-V's to inspect and possibly replace the right-front lower control arm.Honda says that the part could have been made with an improper welding process. Over time the control arm could break at the weld. If that happens the steering would be affected, possibly resulting in a crash.

***
You dont think this welding problem could happen to other Hondas too?
Many share same parts!

Hello OceanArcher. Regarding "Tech Bulletins" and your statement "does that count?", the answer is definitely yes. In the case of my present vehicle, there is an unmailed technical bulletin stating the amount of engine oil from the factory was not sufficient. Also the owner's manual had the wrong amount of oil required. That TSB should have been mailed to EVERY owner.

My daughter's vehicle had a TSB for a problem that would result in the loss of power steering. I read about it just about when it happened to her. Her vehicle was one in the TSB, but nothing was ever mailed to her. The steering failed five times on the way to the dealer. They knew the VIN numbers, but didn't mail out recalls. That borders on manufacturer irresponsibility.

Nothing in the mails, but there were some "Tech Bulletins" that the dealership installed/corrected -- does that count?

My current daily driver I just bought used in February, so I do not know.

Wife's daily driver - 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan: yes, 2 or 3 recalls.

Daughter's daily driver (formerly mine) - 2004 VW Jetta at least 4 recalls.

Others maybe too, but I do not recall more at the moment.

Interesting to know if any haven't...but then I'd rather have a recall notice and get a potential problem resolved than not notified and have some catastrophic failure.
