I sent an e-mail to GB already. It concerns stations that pass their expenses onto us. I do not patronize stations that do that. The app should reflect if the price is cash, credit or both.

Apparently whirlybird2000 doesn't patronize any station since all stations pass on their expenses to their customers. For that fact, all retailers do this!

whirlybird2000: What businesses do not pass their expenses onto the customer? Why would you expect any business to absorb expenses for you?

Forgetting that there have been multiple "cash or credit" topics started already, you e-mailed Gas Buddy because of your concern that gas stations pass their expenses "onto us"? And you don't patronize stations that do that?

How is a gas station, or any business for that matter, supposed to operate if it doesn't pass on its expenses to the customer? Are you suggesting that they should only be the conduit or middle man and simple get products and provide them at the wholesale price, somehow paying their expenses from money they get from somewhere else?

Whether the app should reflect if the price is cash, credit, or both, or whether you can barter or use personal checks is irrelevant to gas stations passing on their expenses to the customer, which seems to be your primary concern based on what you first wrote.

Better, however that you added your concern to already on-going discussion than start yet another thread on an issue already being discussed in multiple topics.
